Windows Engineer
DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Windows Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in the Clifton Forge, VA area.
*This position is remote; however, the selected candidate will need to attend required periodic onsite meetings in Clifton Forge, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for +150 computer servers hosted in Azure, and 250 Windows Desktops
- Desktop support will be managing the desktops using Group Policy/Active Directory.
- Assist in the maintaining, tuning, and hardening of the Microsoft 365 E5 solution that is already deployed.
- Other duties include being the SME for our Rubrik Backup solution.
- The selected candidate will be added to an on-call rotation that will be one week a month.
- Frequent interaction with employees, customers, technicians, analysts, and specialists to troubleshoot problems related to the use of single and/or multiple information systems.
- Work may include creation, installation, and modification of software, testing, and documentation on a variety of platforms.
Knowledge and Skills:
- In depth Active Directory/Group Policy knowledge/experience is required.
- Work requires excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with a high technical skill level.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned project responsibilities under limited supervision.
Required Skills:
- 5 Years – Windows Server 2019/2016
- 5 Years – Active Directory
- 5 Years – Group Polices
- 3 Years – Windows 10 Administration
- 1 Year – Rubrik Backup Solution Administration in Azure
- 1 Year – Tolling Industry Experience
Desired Skills:
- 3 Years – Multiple Domains
- 2 Years – Microsoft DNS
- 2 Years – Microsoft 365
- 2 Years – Azure IaaS
