Title IV-E Eligibility Specialist
DataStaff is currently seeking an Eligibility Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our direct client in Wisconsin.
NOTE: This is a remote position with the exception of first day for equipment pickup.
Overview:
The role of the Eligibility Specialist is to learn Title IV-E, a Federal eligibility program that reimburses the state for some of the costs of out of home care, and apply its requirements to a revolving caseload of children removed from their families and placed in an out of home care setting. As part of this position the Eligibility Specialist will conduct
Title IV-E initial and six-month recommendations in compliance with federal/state/tribal specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Complete timely initial and six-month Title IV-E recommendations, including requesting missing or additional information from counties/tribes and tracking the requests and responses
- Maintain electronic IV-E eligibility files, including copies of appropriate and necessary court orders, completed eligibility forms, financial and other documentation used in the IV-E determination process
- Analyze all data received and multiple computer systems data for federal and state
Title IV-E eligibility requirements - Data entry of IV-E eligibility information into the State eWiSACWIS reporting system
- Customer service with the State and county agencies through telephone and email
- Assist on projects and programs as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail Oriented, Organized, and Efficient
- Adaptable to change in policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality
- Utilize problem solving skills
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with people and maintain an effective working relationship with staff and public officials.
- Ability to work independently, setting own priorities to meet the demands of the position.
- Attend in person meetings as required by the Manager.
Expectations:
- Initial Recommendations: complete timely upon receipt from Quality Assurance staff
- Six Month Recommendations: complete recommendations timely
- Once fully trained, complete an average of 4-6 cases on a daily basis and assist with Adoption Assistance and Subsidized Guardianship Title IV-E recommendations and other IV-E related project functions
