Software Project Manager

DataStaff, Inc is seeking a Software Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Cary, NC.

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mid-Level IT Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple technology projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. This role requires leveraging technical expertise to drive project success and contribute to our mission of delivering cutting-edge IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and establish project objectives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies to guide project execution and adapt to changing needs.
  • Track project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders to ensure transparency.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams and manage relationships with vendors and external partners.
  • Leverage Service Now SPM and PPM modules for efficient project tracking and reporting.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure project outcomes.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate project status and gather feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in an IT environment.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Experience with Service Now SPM and PPM modules is essential.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion is a plus but not required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in the office for the first 30 to 90 days of employment.
