ServiceNow Business Analyst
DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a ServiceNow Business Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description:
You will support the ongoing operation, stability, and enhancement of a large-scale enterprise ServiceNow environment. This role plays a key part in a mission-driven team delivering digital modernization efforts within a regulated sector.
This position focuses on translating complex organizational needs into effective ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment between business objectives and platform capabilities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Lead stakeholder discussions, workshops, and interviews to identify challenges and define functional requirements across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, and HRSD.
Process Design & Documentation
- Develop and document current and future state workflows using standard modeling techniques, ensuring alignment with platform best practices and data models.
User Story Development

Write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with product owners to refine and prioritize backlog items.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, providing updates, gathering feedback, and facilitating demonstrations of system functionality.
Testing & Validation
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution oversight, and defect tracking to ensure solutions meet requirements.
Adoption & Training Support
- Assist with change management efforts by developing training materials, user documentation, and communication plans to support adoption.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all solutions and documentation adhere to required security and regulatory standards within a controlled environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, including at least 3 years working with ServiceNow
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
- Experience working within public sector or regulated environments is preferred
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Columbus, Ohio
Preferred Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- PMI-PBA or CBAP
