Senior ServiceNow Developer
DataStaff, Inc is in need of a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a long-term contract opportunity for one of our direct clients in Atlanta, GA.
*This position is hybrid; some onsite work may be required.
Job Description:
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions on the ServiceNow platform to enhance IT service management and operational workflows. Collaborating closely with stake holders, you will translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your expertise will drive efficiency and innovation in the organization’s use of ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including customizations and integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements.
- Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the ServiceNow platform.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and user guides.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team’s technical growth.
- Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and actively participate in design discussions.
- Perform Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management configurations to improve IT operations.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and administration.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes, including workflows and automation.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM (IT Service Management), CSM (Customer service management also called PSDS), HAM (Hardware asset management).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, Implementation Specialist) are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- 6 Years - ServiceNow platform expertise (development, configuration, integration).
- 6 Years - JavaScript and scripting knowledge.
- 6 Years - API integration (REST/SOAP web services).
- 6 Years - ITSM and ITOM process optimization.
- 6 Years - ITSM, CSM, HAM experience
- 6 Years - Agile/Scrum project delivery.
- 6 Years - Technical documentation and system design.
- 6 Years - Troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
