Salesforce Solutions Engineer

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a contract Salesforce Solution Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end solutions on Salesforce Government Cloud. This role supports mission-critical public sector programs across case management, licensing, service operations, and related workflows. The position ensures all solutions align with program objectives, technical standards, security requirements, and long-term platform strategy while leveraging both declarative and programmatic capabilities to build scalable, maintainable systems.
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership: Establish development standards, mentor junior developers, conduct peer code reviews, and promote consistent high standards across teams.
- Design and engineering: Lead integration designs, blueprinting and configuration strategies.
- Development: Develop Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and system integrations following established engineering practices and platform governance.
- Discovery and requirements: Lead technical discovery sessions with product owners and program stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate solution options, and recommend best-fit approaches.
- Release management readiness: Review Salesforce Spring, Summer, and Winter release notes to identify breaking changes, deprecations, new settings, and feature impacts. Assess platform updates affect existing systems and integrations.
- Coordination and communication: Collaborate with vendors, product owners, administrators, QA teams, and business stakeholders to plan and execute required updates and deliverables.
- AI-enablement: Apply AI-driven approaches to enhance Salesforce solutions, including identifying practical use cases, incorporating intelligent automation, and ensuring responsible and compliant use of emerging technologies.
Required Skills:
- 5 Years - Hands-on Salesforce experience across configuration, customization, and solution design.
- 5 Years - Strong hands-on development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integration development in enterprise environments.
- 3 Years - Experience supporting public-sector, regulated, or compliance-heavy programs (or equivalent experience in complex multi-team environments).
- 2 Years - Experience leading technical discovery, design sessions, or development teams in a senior or lead capacity.
