Program Specialist - ICPC
DataStaff is currently seeking a Program Specialist - ICPC in Wisconsin for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our direct client.
NOTE: This is a Remote position, but candidates must reside in Wisconsin.
Under the general supervision of the Section Manager of the Out of Home Care Section, in the Bureau of Permanence and Out of Home Care, this position provides assistance with fulfilling federal administrative caseload management requirements and multiple other data management/reporting responsibilities for the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (ICPC), and assists with special projects and clerical support for the Out of Home Care Section as needed.
GOALS AND WORKER ACTIVITIES
A. Assist ICPC staff with administrative coordination and production of caseload tacking materials for ICPC.
A1. Review and process incoming residential requests (Regulation four). Maintain and manage caseload of regulation four residential requests.
A2. Assist ICPC specialists in reviewing and processing supervision reports for all cases. Assist ICPC specialists with other duties as assigned.
A3. Maintain strict confidentiality of case related information. This includes access to confidential materials such as CPS files, letters, psychological exams, court reports, and educational and behavioral assessments. Screen and process confidential mail. Prepare printed/supportive materials upon request.
A4. Obtain information necessary for ICPC staff to be fully informed about and/or to respond to inquiries, phone calls, or correspondence.
A6. Respond on behalf of the ICPC staff to routine or informational telephone calls from county agencies/staff, and others. Refer inquiries to the appropriate staff.
A7. Bring important or urgent matters to the attention of ICPC staff or the Out of Home Care Section Manager if ICPC staff are unavailable for the extended period of time. Use independent judgment and discretion in interpreting, processing and assigning priority to these requests.
A8- Participate in required meetings including team, section, bureau and division wide meetings -traveling when required
A9-Participate in ICPC trainings as requested
B. Provision of administrative support to Section Manager and staff in the Out of Home Care section as requested.
B1. Coordinate assignments with the appropriate staff to ensure that materials are prepared and provided in a timely fashion.
B2. Analyze administrative support needs of the ICPC program/OHC section.
Implement new/improved office procedures.
B5. Perform other duties as assigned by Section Manager or ICPC Team Lead
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft office and other electronic documentation and data systems.
- Extensive knowledge of office management practices and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of business English, spelling and composition of letters and memoranda.
- Extensive knowledge of administrative and organizational composition of the Division and Department.
- Ability to type final copy neatly and rapidly.
- Considerable knowledge of Division programs and goals, policies and operation needs.
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with people and maintain an effective working relationship with staff and public officials.
- Ability to work independently, setting own priorities to meet the demands of the position.
- Ability to utilize appropriate and sensitive discretion in dealing with confidential communications and situations.
