Paralegal
DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Paralegal for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Milwaukee, WI.
- Hybrid/remote-friendly work environment (based on business needs)
- Approximately 5% travel for occasional internal meetings
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day paralegal support to the corporate legal department.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Legal and cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and other business units.
- Draft, review, and revise commercial agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), amendments, and other technology-related contracts.
- Coordinate contract review, approval, and execution through a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.
- Organize and maintain legal documentation, case files, and supporting evidence while coordinating with outside counsel as needed.
- Assist with legal matters involving technology transactions, intellectual property, compliance, and data privacy.
- Support compliance initiatives by helping ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Utilize legal technology and AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and support business operations.
Expected Deliverables
- Provide timely, accurate legal support for commercial contracts and legal documentation.
- Manage contract workflows and maintain organized records within the CLM system.
- Support legal matters by coordinating documentation with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
- Ensure contracts and legal processes comply with applicable regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Improve legal department efficiency through effective use of legal technology and AI-enabled tools.
- Build collaborative relationships across Legal, Sales, Finance, Operations, and other business functions.
Required Skills
- Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; coursework in technology law is a plus.
- Experience supporting an in-house legal department, preferably within a technology, software, SaaS, or professional services organization.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI tools to improve productivity, automate workflows, or enhance business processes.
- Experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and related contracts.
- Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and legal document management platforms.
- Knowledge of technology transactions, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting technology, cloud, software, or IT services organizations.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms and legal technology applications.
- Experience collaborating with outside counsel on commercial and litigation matters.
- Broad understanding of commercial legal practices and corporate governance.
