Network Systems Administrator
DataStaff is in immediate need of a Network Systems Administrator for one of our direct clients in the Raleigh, NC area for a direct-hire opportunity. * This role is 100% On-Site

- Provide network and server support for Corporate and Division offices for the client.
- Responsible for all aspects of both network and server infrastructure, deployed as physical and virtual assets, and managed in both on-premise and cloud-based environments.
- Accountable for the safe and stable operation of the corporate LAN/WAN in a cybersecurity-first environment.
- Proactively manage our infrastructure to meet the current and future business needs of the company.
- This position will have responsibility for the technology infrastructure of the company. This includes: Microsoft 365 with Hosted Exchange, Windows Active Directory servers, virtual server environment, storage, VDI environment, management of networking protocols, cabling, routers, switches, corporate Wide Area Network, Firewall, Phone Systems and Internet connectivity. In addition, this position will:
- Proactively maintain a robust, scalable, and secure architecture
- Provide ongoing server maintenance, minimizing outages and downtime
- Maintain: server standards, server naming conventions, standard directory structures, standard practices for account access, generation and access privileges, and backup and disaster recovery policies
- Perform security patch management and system hardening to baseline standards including NIST and CIS
- Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring coverage and effectiveness of all security controls, best practices, and collaboratively work to enhance security posture
- Solve support calls that impact the servers, network, phone system, and email systems
- Take part in server capacity planning and ensure that standards and policies are followed
- Assist in the ordering of equipment and hardware/software maintenance renewals
Required Skills:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science preferred. A comparable combination of education and experience is acceptable.
- 5 years - Experience in a network environment
- MCSE, CCNA, and/or NSE4 desirable
- Windows Active Directory, on-premise and Hybrid Azure AD
- VMware virtual environments
- NetApp storage systems
- Cisco or Fortinet router/switch management and LAN/WAN management
- SonicWall firewall, network security best practices, PCI and HIPAA compliance
- Cisco hosted phone systems
- Enterprise level backup solutions
- Managing a Microsoft Exchange Online environment
- Managing a TCP/IP protocol environment with DNS and DHCP
- Controller-based wireless systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Project Management skills
- In-depth knowledge of PCs, Windows Servers, and M365 suite
- Excellent customer service skills, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to travel
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
