Mainframe Technical Specialist
DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Mainframe Technical Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.
*This position is hybrid; 2 days per week are on-site
Job Description/Requirements:
- Candidates should have mainframe skills including CICS, DB2, Elixir, Endevor, IMS and JCL.
- Additional skills in middleware and MQ are beneficial.
- Have knowledge of Z/OS operating system and its interrelationships and functionality.
- The ability to provide configuration management/release management support and guidance for Endevor software.
- Thorough knowledge of SQL programming language and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of tools and utilities to support DB2.
- The ability to evaluate complex SQL queries and recommend suggestions for better software performance and cost savings.
- The ability to provide CICS administration, problem solving and debugging support interfacing with application developers as well as centralized IT personnel.
