Java Technical Specialist
DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Java Technical Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.
* This is a hybrid position. The candidate will be expected to come on-site as policy dictates.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of the application maintenance team serving as the technical specialist and consultant by independently managing complex Java projects and providing critical second level 24x7 on-call support.
- Work with Business Owners in the translation of customer requests into technical request and user stories
- Coordinates software release schedules with the Business and Technical Team
- Develops business requirements
- Provides testing and training support
- Must have proven experience with enterprise level software development programs.
Required Skills
- 3 Years - Java/JEE, Oracle, and XML for a minimum of 3 years.
- 3 Years - Web Services, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Struts, Eclipse IDE, and version control tools
- 3 Years - Application analysis and design, cost analysis, estimating staffing needs, testing, documentation, and implementation
- 3 Years - Technical helpdesk support
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
- Effective communications in oral and written form
Desired Skills:
- Java Certification
- Visual C++, .NET, CORBA, EJB, and Hibernate.
