IT Project Coordinator
DataStaff, Inc. is seeking an IT Project Coordinator for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Cary, NC.
This is an onsite role.
Responsibilities:
- Capable of managing a portfolio of stakeholders and vendors of complex IT/software/data modernization efforts at the direction of Sr. Project Management staff.
- Designs, plans, and coordinates IT work teams.
- Follows standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework.
- Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with project sponsor.
- Supports Sr. Project Management teams with project kickoff, progress and close-out reports, and tracks budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics.
- Supports project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities.
- Documents meeting and team notes, risks and works with project team to develop mitigation plans.
- Supports Sr. Project Management scope and change process.
- Assists in documentation of stakeholder and communications plans as/where appropriate.
- Manages assigned tasks and assists Sr. Project Management with communications to stakeholders and project sponsors.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Experience Description:
- IT Project / portfolio coordination capabilities with 5 or more years of experience.
- Capable of supporting highly complex projects across dozens of staff and geographies to advance the IT modernization efforts.
- Highly motivated and organized individually, capable of engaging multiple roles and personalities effectively.
Required Skills:
- 5 Years - Experience in complex IT project or portfolio coordination involving multiple stakeholders across multiple business areas and geographies
- Experience managing projects within Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implementation
- Ability to translate technology terms and explain concepts of SDLC to program/business folks who have little to no exposure to large software projects
- Ability to support Sr. project team staff to drive projects to success
- Strong organization, communication and presentation skills
- Experience in organizing highly complex and technical information.
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience working on software projects as a Jr. Project Manager or Project Coordinator
- Knowledge of multiple methodologies including agile and waterfall
- Oracle ERP knowledge
