Dynamics 365/Power Apps Specialist
DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Dynamics 365/Power Apps Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA

Responsibilities:
60%:
- Develop, test, maintain and document Microsoft Power Platform and D365 solutions
- Deliver all development and test applications and results to agree upon specifications in agreed upon time frames (or coordinate with supervisor in advance if time frames do not appear to be able to be met)
- Conduct thorough testing and document results
- Identify and implement best practices for naming conventions, environment strategies, security and application life-cycle management
- Implement all applications such that the applications and associated architecture and integrations are performing well, secure, and are managed in a way that does not cause disruption or data integrity issues
- Promote applications successfully through appropriate environments while maintaining proper change control (including documentation and rollback procedures)
- Produce technical documentation that is suitable for application support
20%:
- Mentor and guide client’s staff in the development and use of solutions using the Power Platform / D365 tool and provide technical consultation, training and guidance on best practices, solution design and governance standards
10%:
- Collaborates with business users and IT leads to understand and document solution requirements and functionality.
- Develops comprehensive solution documentation, including operational support manuals, user guides, workflow diagrams and training materials
- Actively coordinates with client’s Power Platform and D365 Environments to administer the environments
- Engages with appropriate personnel in agreed upon timeframe to ensure that all assigned applications are running appropriately, securely and in a performant manner.
- Verifies that application data, integrations and environments are properly secured, backed up, retained and recoverable in accordance with approved backup schedules and disaster recovery standards
Required Skills:
- 5 Years - Power Platform Experience – specifically Power Apps – canvas and model-driven apps, Dataverse, Power Automate and Power Pages
- 3 Years - D365 Customer Service Module
- 3 Years - Role-based security configuration in Power Platform and D365
- 3 Years - Working experience with solution management (managed / unmanaged), environmental variables and reusable components
- 3 Years - Working knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture and security fundamentals
- 2 Years - HTML/CSS/JavaScript for UI customizations
- 2 Years - Experience with Agile delivery, backlog refinement and stakeholder communication
- 3 Years - Working knowledge of solution architecture, data modeling and performant querying, Azure functions and API integration
- 3 Years - Working knowledge of custom components, reusability patterns and custom connectors
- 1 Years - Experience implementing accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG)
- 2 Years - CI/CD experience (Power Platform Pipelines / Git Hub)
- 2 Years - Unit Testing and test automation
- 2 Years - DevOps Tools
- 2 Years - Experience with security, governance and environment strategy (DLP, role-based security, least privilege)
- 2 Years - Experience mentoring and training others
- 3 Years - Strong communication, problem-solving, strategy, documentation and cross-team collaboration skills
