Database Analyst
DataStaff, Inc is seeking a Database Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in supporting audit activities by collecting, processing, and analyzing data from various state agencies.
- Works closely with auditors, investigators, and state agencies to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various state government agencies.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns in financial and operational data.
- Develop data models, dashboards, and visualizations to support audit findings and reports.
- Collaborate with audit teams to provide data-driven insights
- Assist in the automation of data analysis and reporting processes.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of predictive models and risk assessments to detect fraud, waste, and inefficiencies in government programs
Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data insights clearly.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with analytics tools and common coding languages.
Required Skills:
- 3 Years - Experience in data analysis, preferably in government, auditing, or financial sectors.
- 3 Years - Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
- 3 Years - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
Desired Skills:
- 3 Years - Knowledge of auditing principles, governmental accounting, or financial regulations.
- 3 Years - Familiarity with machine learning, data mining or predictive analytics.
