Data Operations Specialist
DataStaff is seeking a seeking a detail-oriented Data Operations Specialist for a 4 month contract in Milwaukee, WI. You will support data management, reporting, and quality assurance activities for a fast-paced project team. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with computer systems and databases, and skilled at identifying discrepancies before they become larger issues.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing information, maintaining reliable records, generating reports, and supporting project stakeholders with timely and accurate data.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain information within designated databases and computer applications.
- Review source documents and determine the appropriate information, classifications, or codes for data entry.
- Verify information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before and after entry.
- Generate and maintain routine and ad hoc reports to support operational and management needs.
- Identify data discrepancies, unusual results, or potential issues and escalate them to the appropriate team members.
- Perform database queries and data reviews to assist with research, analysis, and issue resolution.
- Conduct quality-control reviews and audits of individual and team work to ensure established procedures and standards are followed.
- Track assigned projects and provide management with regular updates regarding progress, outstanding items, and potential concerns.
- Assist with special projects and other data-related initiatives as needed.
- Participate in project meetings and task-focused workgroups to help identify and resolve operational issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to provide accurate information and administrative support.
- Maintain organized records and documentation in accordance with established processes and requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to work accurately with large amounts of information.
- Experience with data entry, data processing, records management, reporting, or administrative operations.
- Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and other computer-based systems.
- Ability to review information and recognize errors, inconsistencies, or missing data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures while working independently on assigned responsibilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
- Experience performing database searches or queries is preferred.
