Certified Smartsheet Developer
DataStaff, Inc is seeking a Certified Smartsheet Developer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Richmond, VA.
* This position hybrid, 3 days/week with option to increase to 5 days/week if needed
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, optimize and administer solutions within the Smartsheet platform to enhance business operations and project management.
- Customize, develop, manage and administer agency’s Smartsheet platform
- Design and build Smartsheet solutions, including dashboards, reports and templates
- Implement and maintain automated Smartsheet workflows using Smartsheet automation to improve efficiency and automation
- Create alerts, reminders, and approval processes to streamline operations
- Utilize Smartsheet API to connect with external systems such as Okta, CRM, ERP, database, Azure devops
- Work with third-party tools such as Power Automate and PowerBI for reporting and data utilization
- Support and maintain following Smartsheet projects:
- Procurement request workflow and dashboard
- Budget request workflow & Dashboard
- Agency Executive Project plan and dashboard
- Agency hiring request
- Telework Form
- Legislative implementation Dashboard
- HR recruitment dashboard

- Travel and Training request form
- Maintain Smartsheet System Security plan and serve as the primary contact for Smartsheet security initiatives and ensure compliance with data security and organizational policies
- Server as Smartsheet Administrator including user access and identity management and maintaining Smartsheet licenses
- Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving Smartsheet-related issues.
- Work closely with business teams, IT, and project managers to understand business needs.
- Develop documentation, best practices, and troubleshooting guides for Smartsheet solutions.
- Work with CIO and team to provide needed assistance and support for all Smartsheet initiatives
Required Skills:
- 6 Months - Smartsheet Core Product Certification
- 6 Months - AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification
- 1 Year - Expertise in Smartsheet features, design and implementing Smartsheets solutions including workflow automation, building dashboards, reports, forms and
- 1 Year - Knowledge of Smartsheet API, JavaScript, Python, Power BI
- 1 Year - Experience with workflow automation tools like Power Automate, Zapier, or Bridge by Smartsheet.
- 1 Year - Develop and deploy custom scripts and automation tool to extend Smartsheet functionality
- 8 Months - Strong understanding of data management, database and data connectors to synchronize information across platforms
- 7 Months - Smartsheet Integration with other tools via APIs such as Okta, Azure DevOps, PowerBI
- 2 Years - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- 6 Months - Work closely with business teams, IT, and project managers to understand business needs.
- 6 Months - Convert business requirements into scalable Smartsheet solutions.
- 6 Months - Participate in meetings, provide updates, and suggest improvements for Smartsheet usage.
- 6 Months - Develop documentation, best practices, and troubleshooting guides for Smartsheet solutions.
- 6 Months - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- 6 Months - Ability to train and support end-users effectively.
- 6 Months - Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Skills:
- 9 Months - Prior Tax experience
- 1 Year - Knowledge on Angular scripting language
- 6 Months - Knowledge on assisting and supporting AWS Cloud Environment
- 6 Months - Business analyst and project management experience
This opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
