Bilingual Case Managers
DataStaff is in immediate need of multiple Bilingual Case Managers for one of our direct clients in the Los Angeles, CA area for a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Bilingual in Spanish required.
NOTE: This is 100% onsite position in Burbank but candidates must have their own laptop/PC during the 2 week training period, as training is remote.
It requires you to have a professional, quiet workspace, free from distractions with high-speed hard-wired ethernet internet capability and a reliable PC/Laptop with Windows 10.
Responsibilities:
- Offer comprehensive case management services to a caseload of program participants facing significant obstacles to employment.
- Utilize specialized expertise to address unique challenges faced by participants on long-term Cash Assistance, those with a history of sanctions or program non-compliance, or individuals with ex-offender status.
- Consider and evaluate barriers to employment when determining appropriate program placements for participants.
- Conduct job readiness screenings and assessments to gauge participant readiness for employment.
- Evaluate participants' needs for Back to Work services and assist in formulating individualized Employment Plans.
- Direct applicants and participants to suitable program components, ensuring their engagement in beneficial services.
- Oversee and coordinate all project services provided to each participant, ensuring comprehensive support.
- Connect program participants with community resources such as long-term and emergency childcare services, providing follow-up to ensure effective service delivery.
- Offer employment counseling and job leads, facilitating job placement and retention for participants.
- Provide ongoing support to maintain stability in employment, coordinating retention activities as needed.
- Initiate non-compliance procedures and manage the process for participants who fail to meet program requirements.
- Regularly engage in workgroups and committees focused on assessing customer needs, enhancing services, and implementing innovative strategies.
- Perform additional duties as directed by management
- Work with customers to access government sponsored programs (TANF) and receive program services.
- Interact with program participants on a regular, daily basis, and educate customers on program services and requirements.
- Exhibit significant program knowledge and assist with all phases of the Employment First Program.
- Work with program participants to assess and remove barriers to employment and monitor program participant progress.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Provide a high level of customer service to program participants and meet multiple deadlines.
- Work simultaneously in multiple databases and applications.
- Perform lead duties as required.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
