Systems Analyst
DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Systems Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA
*This position is mainly remote with the ability to be in the office for schedule meetings and other events.
Job Description:
For the EHR implementation and current existing application, we are seeking for a skilled, analytic detail-oriented Systems Analyst with strong background on analysis, documentation and software development. The Systems analyst will require to analyze systems and systems process, work closely with stakeholders and help ensure that the implementation fulfill the organization needs. Expertise in problem-solving, systems analysis and healthcare technology will be highly sought abilities required
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the EHR team and different application teams to analyze, design, and help implement assigned modifications in the different applications that will connect with the EHR system.
- Requirements gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with different stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, translated them into workflows, functional and technical specifications
- Work hand in hand with the technical lead for Interfaces group and other groups as needed.
- Support migration efforts and propose new workflows as needed for several parts of the internal applications.
- Assisting the design and configuration of different parts of the EHR ensuring it aligns with technical and user requirements.
- Documentation: The systems analyst will require to maintain a comprehensive documentation of the workflows and processes that were created and implemented as a result of the EHR System.
- Process improvement: Analyze different systems performance and interfaces to identify opportunities for improvement and work with the respective teams to implement it.
- Analyze and proposed solutions for different components of the interface application
- Develop and/or work with developers for assigned components and modifications in different OIM Applications
- Support testing efforts on different areas of the HER
Knowledge and Experience:
- Require knowledge and skills associated software development and maintenance projects in general.
- Professional experience working with Web based applications using Oracle as a backend is required.
- Strong background and work experience in developing true web applications is necessary.
- Knowledge in software development and installation, change management and testing.
- Strong designing, development and troubleshooting skills required.
- Good oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to work on multiple projects/issues simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to assess the impact of software upgrades and other environment changes.
- Experience in conducting feasibility studies; analyzing new requirements; preparing functional and system specifications for application programmers; developing data models and system designs; developing complex program codes; testing application and evaluating results for accuracy, timelines and integrative features; preparing documentation; implementing and supporting data processing systems is required.
Required Skills:
- 5 years - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- 5 years - Experience as a systems analyst, preferably in healthcare or EHR-related projects
- 5 years - Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards
- 5 years - Strong sql and pl/sql experience
- 5 years - Oracle 12c/11g/18c/19c database
- 5 years - Webservices
- 5 years - Software Development Methodologies
- 5 years - Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment
- 5 years - Experience with system upgrades, interface design, or customization
Desired Skills:
- 3 years - Java, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, Json
- 5 years - Oracle Apex 23 and up
- 3 years - HTML, CSS
- 5 years - EHR Knowledge
- 3 years - Cerner Custom Language (CCL)
