EHR Business Analyst
DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a EHR Business Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA.
*This position is hybrid
* Some travel for meetings/training/testing/etc will be required
Responsibilities:
- Supports the EHR program.
- Possess experience within a Clinical/Health/Bio-Tech environment.
- Has familiarity with HL7 and its family of standards including Version 2 (V2), Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) and Fast Healthcare interoperability Resources (FHIR).
- Supports the Health IT Unit in the implementation of the EHR solution.
- Collaborates with clinical staff and IT leaders to translate clinician requirements into coordinated specifications for the EHR solution.
- Defines Health IT requirements for clinical disciplines as they relate to the strategic plan and unit mission.
- Provides business analysis on clinical processes, workflows and related artifacts.
- Contributes to project/program implementation, infrastructure, system architecture, planning, project initiation, business analysis, requirement definition, systems design, systems design, systems development, system testing, systems implementation, on-going maintenance and enhancement, effective problem identification and resolution, production service and support, and systems administration support tasks to ensure computer applications will assist in achieving its day-to-day mission.
- Implements downtime readiness procedures and internal reporting regarding system response time and service level agreements for connectivity and operational effectiveness of Health IT.
- Ensures compliance with the project management standards and procedures for development, enhancement, and deployment of applications developed or procured by Health IT/ITU to deliver services that satisfy user requirements and Health IT/ITU.
Required Skills:
- 4 Years – Requirements Elicitation/Documentation/Analysis/Tracking
- 4 Years – Systems/Integration/UAT Testing – including planning, execution, resolution, reporting
- 4 Years – Process/Workflow Engineering/Analysis – including workflow diagramming (Visio), use case documentation, policy/procedure analysis
- 3 Years – Large System Implementation – complex solutions and integrations
- 4 Years – MS Office/365 Experience
- 4 Years – Experience with Agile & Waterfall Methodology
- 4 Years – Excellent Verbal/Written communication
Desired Skills:
- 3 Years – Leading Workgroups
- 3 Years – Health System Experience – clinical setting working directly with healthcare staff, understanding of HIPAA regulations
- 2 Years – Experience with VITA project standards/requirements
- 3 Years – Defining Schedules/Milestones/Metrics
