DataStaff is seeking a Marketing Manager for a direct-hire opportunity for one of our clients in the Durham, NC area.

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Marketing Manager to help promote the product portfolio. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and customer goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive marketing experience and a comprehensive knowledge of communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media, as well as have experience working with and in the medical device field. Objectives of this Role:

  • Collaborate with the business team to uncover insights and strategies for developing and implementing marketing and branding for new and existing products, internally and externally
  • Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth through lead generation
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure tracking, and other financial considerations
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team
  • Further knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our marketing strategies while working closely with customers, management, development teams, and distribution partners, to create an effective and efficient plan focused on growing audiences for our products and services
  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales
  • Plan, attend and manage meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, coordinating mailing lists, and providing post-event reports and analysis
  • Maintain an LMS directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
  • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion

  • Create, maintain, and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues
  • Manage print contractors and other promotional vendors
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Simplify complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids for customers and management
  • Build a visual video and image library of new and existing products and procedures
  • Create and manage engaging LinkedIn posts to grow the existing following and community
  • Direct and update existing promotional videos, while outlining new video segments that are needed – update scripts and video shot lists

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications
  • Successful track record in marketing roles and creating marketing campaigns
  • Experience working with Medical Devices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
  • Website development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Proficiency with HTML, content management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) tools and design software
  • Experience with Adobe Indesgin, WordPress, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Buffer & Canva would be preferred
  • Established portfolio of media and PR contacts
  • Desire to grow professionally with ongoing education
