Communication between Trading Partners and the department
Maintain detailed documentation and process flow of all EDI processes
Identify and facilitate issues with partner data mapping from onset through completion
Process and monitor all inbound and outbound X12 transactions
Support Customer Service group with EDI-related issues
Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements in support of the EDI system
Troubleshoot EDI document processing errors and work with trading partners directly to resolve in a timely matter
Conducts analysis of EDI transactions and is responsible for documentation and reports
Collaborate with EDI partners to resolve transmission problems.
Track day-to-day EDI & batch processes to identify and address problems as they arise, reporting levels of activity using key established metrics for senior management
Effectively communicate issues and needs with internal business partners, external vendors, and healthcare providers
Develops and maintains cross-walking and validation rules for file exchanges
Triages incoming EDI issues thru monitoring
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business staff
Support internal resources to resolve issues, answer questions, and retransmit EDI documents when necessary
Work with end users to ensure user acceptance testing is thorough and complete
Employees should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills:
7 years: Expert in developing and executing test scripts related to X12 EDI Transmission
5 years: Demonstrated proficiency in conducting QA and testing on EDI applications
5 years: Expert in EDI mapping for 837, 277CA, 834, 835, TA1, 999, 820, NCPDP D.0
5 years: High degree of business and technical knowledge with significant practical experience in HIPAA X12 EDI Transactions
2 years: Experience setting up users/new Trading Partner relationships/Standards/Envelope and full cycle testing
3 Years: Experience in creating and managing a catalog of EDI document types such as 837, 277CA, 834, 835, TA1, 999, 820, NCPDP D.0
3 years: Proven experience in processing and monitoring all inbound and outbound X12 transactions

Job Description: This hybrid role combines business analysis with software quality assurance testing responsibilities. This senior BA / Tester role will work with the business and other stakeholders to support the business process analysis. This role will work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements, business process workflows and develop other BA artifacts using tools and templates. This role will also perform QA and Testing work and ensure our applications run smooth
Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of the functions, uses and requirements for the system
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
Identifying and documenting current and future state process workflows
Developing documents such as: Business objects inventory list Reports, email notifications and Forms List, Email Notifications/Letters Inventory List, User Stories, Permission Matrix, Wireframes
Additional development of documents may include but is not limited to entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, system context diagrams
Preparing and maintaining project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports and user documentation
Help business develop use cases
Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
Supporting required system go-live activities
Software Testing Duties:
Documenting gap analysis
Execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
Perform data migration testing to ensure accurate transfer of data between systems.
Conduct back-end testing, including validation of APIs, server-side logic, and integration points.
Write and execute database queries (SQL) to verify data integrity and consistency.
Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, QC, ADO).
Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve bugs and improve application quality.
Perform regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, and testing documentation.
Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices.
Strong English comprehension and communication skills (spoken and written) for clear documentation and effective user support.
Ability to work autonomously and be a "self-starter"
Experience working in a fast-paced Agile Testing environment
