Job Description: Provide dedicated support to the State Traffic Operations Center (STOC) and Transportation Mobility & Safety Unit by assisting with maintaining and updating GIS data used in routing, traffic operations, and incident response. This role works with TM&S staff to understand basic workflow needs, assist with gathering requirements, and help build simple to moderately complex maps, dashboards, and GIS tools that support daily operations. The primary focus is to communicate clearly with non-GIS users, ask questions to understand requests, and follow established GIS Unit standards when creating or updating data and applications. Daily work includes editing geometry, updating events and attributing data, performing QA/QC checks, and assisting with progress tracking and documentation. The role may also support Arcade coding and help with ETL processes under guidance from more senior team members.
