DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Fairfax, VA

Job Description:
Our client is looking for a solid mid-level team member who brings a minimum of 5 years of hands-on networking experience. The best candidate will be someone who is looking for long-term professional growth opportunities, possesses a 4-year degree and/or industry certifications. Requires experience, creativity and multitasking to independently and collaboratively achieve department service and support objectives for the Transportation Operations Center. Individual is able to work without assistance; is able to manage medium complexity work efforts; has some industry experience; can provide limited leadership to others; collaborates well with others.

PORTS - System Administrator

DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a PORTS - System Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Wilmington, NC.

*This role is hybrid; onsite 1-3 days a week

Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Administrator provides operational support for the enterprise infrastructure that enables the secure and reliable movement of cargo through the Ports of Wilmington and Morehead City. This position is responsible for maintaining the availability, security, and resiliency of core infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware virtualization, Cisco UCS compute, NetApp storage, endpoint management, identity services, disaster recovery, backup systems, and enterprise endpoint protection. These platforms support port operations, public safety, administrative systems, and business applications that operate 24x7.

The contractor will also support critical cybersecurity initiatives through vulnerability remediation, security patching, incident response, backup validation, disaster recovery readiness, and implementation of infrastructure security best practices. The role directly supports NC Ports' cybersecurity objectives and ongoing compliance efforts, including implementation of the U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Transportation Security Cyber Risk Management Final Rule.
